This is a collaborative space where CMIP users and technical staff can share information on quality issues with data currently stored in the CMIP5/6 replica collection at NCI.
Its aim is to facilitate the identification of issues and solutions that are easy to apply to avoid users having to repeat the same checks and file manipulations.
It is different from the Known Issues and Errata as issues flagged here can be in terms of "scientific" validity or suitability of data for a particular analysis, which are normally not considered as "errors".
How this space will evolve depends entirely on the CMIP community itself.
Technical staff involved with CMIP can help with acting on some of the solutions proposed where suitable and making sure that the identified "issues" are visible to CMIP users as much as we can, but it's for the users themselves to actively contribute and share their expert knowledge.
