- The distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) metadata standard (v1.1.0) was developed by the DAS Research Coordination Network (DAS-RCN) Data Management Working Group, specifically for the DAS research community to facilitate the integration of DAS measurements across experiments and increase reusability. The standard fully describes the five key components of a DAS experiment: interrogator, data acquisition, channels, cable, and fiber. This metadata standard is intended to be independent of the specific implementation and the emphasis is on the content and structure (i.e., schema). This also implies that the metadata is independent of the time-series data. For more information, please refer to Hui Lai et al., 2024.
- PRODML was developed by industry and is a set of standards with an emphasis on data collection and flow production recorded from complex DAS deployments in boreholes for oil and gas exploration and production.
