There is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service for external parties such as research projects or contractors. These have subsets of access depending on specific needs.

Also the cipher set's have been hardened and VPN only supports TLS1.3 and 1.2 so old operating systems will have issues.

Also there is a client bandwidth of 100Mbps and lastly the VPN does support DTLS offloading so your tunnel will be UDP which helps with throughput and latency. 


To get started you will need to:

1) Download and install the relevant client for your operating system

2) Configure the client for use with the NCI VPN service

3) Login in using your NCI ID and password.
