| gb6 | Title: Replacing output: 2005-10-01 to 2006-12-31 Description: A region of low salinity was identified in BRAN2020 over the Campbell Plateau, south of New Zealand, after assimilating anomalous observations in late 2005 into the model. This salinity feature persisted for several months of the reanalysis. BRAN2020 has been rerun without these data and their impact. Files will be replaced for all output, of all variables, spanning 2005-10-01 to 2006-12-31. The last 4 days of 2006 are weighted averages of the new corrected output and the original, smoothing the transition. Description: The daily Ocean files in 19941101 and 20011101 Seasonal Hindcast files (e01, e02, e03) were corrupted on manufacture. The affected files will be removed and replaced with an updated version. All the new files are slightly different to the previous version and the differences should not be significant for that ensemble. All files for those start dates and ensembles have been affected by this change (for consistency of atmos/ocean files). This has come about during the process that generates the reanalysis from the initial conditions and is not simple to fix. Given that ERA-Interim are used for the initial conditions of the hindcasts, having the atmospheric variables available in the reanalysis is not essential. As a result, we have decided to unpublish all the "reanalysis/atmos" data.
