You can access NCI-geophys environment on both NCI ARE VDI and JupyterLab sessions.

Log in ARE you will see the portal page as below

VDI

Click "Virtual Desktop" button start a VDI session as below:

Step 1:

Select the walltime computer resources at Gadi. 

Step 2:

Click "launch VDI Desktop" button to enter the VDI session.

Step 3: 

  1. Open a Terminal
  2. ssh to the localhost
  3. load teh NCI-geophys module.

JupyterLab

Click "JupyterLab" button in the ARE login page to start a JupyterLab session as below

Step 1:

Choose appropriate walltime, computer size, project and storage list.

Step 2:

In the "Advanced Options", load the NCI-geophys/22.06 module.

Step 3:

Click "Open JupyterLab" to open the JupyterLab session.

Step 4:

Choose a language from Python, R and Julia to start your work.
