This page lists guidelines for ADAPTER projects. It is currently under construction and will be expanded to contain information about governance and policies.

Please read the Information for Applicants, dates and Frequently Asked Questions on the NCI website's Adapter page. These guidelines provide further guidance on the Adapter Allocation Scheme.

ADAPTER Guidelines

  • ADAPTER allocations are not transferable to other projects or researchers. ADAPTER scheme allocations must be used for standalone ADAPTER projects and cannot be mixed into projects supported by other schemes.
  • ADAPTER allocations must be used during the period of allocation. They are non-transferable and cannot be deferred to future allocation periods.
  • ADAPTER GDATA allocations expire 21 days after the completion of the allocation period. Any data remaining in ADAPTER project directories at 21 days after completion of an allocation period will be removed without notice. Requests for exceptions to this policy will not be considered.
  • An ADAPTER project cannot be repurposed for support from other schemes following expiry of an ADAPTER allocation.
  • A pre-existing ADAPTER project from a previous call may be used in future ADAPTER calls for applications.
  • ADAPTER applications or project registrations received outside the scope of an ADAPTER call for applications will be rejected.
  • NCI reserves the right to update ADAPTER rules and guidelines in future calls in response to governance and implementation requirements.
