NCI Q2 2023 Scheduled Maintenance
 
Date and duration: Tuesday 2 May 2023 (8am - 6pm AEST)

Systems affected:

  • Gadi compute, login nodes, data mover nodes and ARE instances
  • All /g/data filesystems
  • All services reliant on /g/data filesystems
    • OOD, THREDDS, ESGF, GSKY, Copernicus/SARA, Skymapper/ASVO
    • Data catalogue, Accessdev, ERDDAP, Model Evaluation
    • Nirin cloud instances mounting /g/data filesystems via NFS exports

NCI systems listed above will be offline for Q2 scheduled maintenance between 8 am and 6 pm AEST on Tuesday 2 May. All services are expected to resume normal operation on the same day as soon as possible following completion of maintenance. 
 
Support requests received while network maintenance is in progress will be queued and addressed as soon as possible when the network and these administrative systems return to operational status.
 
Nirin Cloud Maintenance

Nirin Cloud services mounting the /g/data filesystems will need to be shut down before the start of the outage window. Affected services can be restarted once the /g/data filesystems become available again.
 
Network Maintenance
As specified in the NCI Advisory email dated 21 April, a full solution for resolving the network instability will be implemented during this period. This may result in the following systems being intermittently unavailable for brief periods between 8 am and 6 pm AEST on 2 May:
