jif3d is a framework for joint inversion of different types of geophysical data in 3D. It currently comprises forward solvers for first arrival traveltimes, scalar and tensor gravity data, magnetics, electrical resistivity tomography and surface waves. An interface for magnetotelluric modelling codes is also included. The framework is flexible in terms of the coupling approach between the different datasets. At the moment cross-gradient coupling, mututal information and deterministic parameter relationships are implemented.

The current version of the jif3D software deployed under project up99 is r1299.

To access Jif3D, you first need to join project up99 and once you are a member of this project, you can then run the following commands on Gadi to load in the Jif3D module:

$ module use /g/data/up99/modulefiles
$ module load jif3D/r1299

The Jif3D binaries can be found under /g/data/up99/apps/jif3D/r1299/bin

To help getting started, Jif3D Jupyter notebook tutorials can be found under /g/data/up99/apps/jif3D/r1299/Tutorial
